We applaud the rollout of Content Credentials by Adobe & C2PA

As a member of the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI), we are excited to see creative platforms such as Adobe address the urgent need for transparency regarding AI. We encourage HCA members to explore the possibilities of Content Credentials in the pursuit of our mission to preserve and value human creativity.

Adobe and industry partners such as Microsoft, Arm, Intel, and Truepic, as part of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), have created a symbol to encourage tagging AI-generated content. The “CR” icon, which stands for Content CRedentials, is part of C2PA’s initiative to provide transparency in AI-generated work.

Now when a user is viewing content and sees the Content Credentials pin, it means Content CRedentials are attached. With a simple click, they can reveal more information about the content being viewed, such as “How was it made?”, “Is it AI-generated?”, and “When was it created or edited?”

The Human Creator Alliance is actively developing our own membership platform to be compatible with the open standards-based authenticity feature integrations created by the CAI & the C2PA. Content Credentials are an important step forward and an excellent accountability feature to compliment our HCA member AI Ethics credentialing platform.
